Barrett,
It is hard to believe it has been 3 full months since you came and rocked your mama and daddy's world. I have had a hard time transitioning back to working and not spending every minute with you, but I know this is what is best for our family. We are so thankful you are such a happy, healthy, smiley baby. We are starting to see your sweet personality and I can't wait to see more of it.
We love you so much!
Mama
Let's start with the important stuff your stats:
Height/Weight- You do not have a dr appt this month so I am not exactly sure but I am going to guess and say approx 13 lbs. and getting close to 24 in.
This month we switched to size 2 diapers, they are a bit big but the 1s were starting to get pretty snug. You are still wearing 0-3 month clothes, they fit perfectly except for the length. You, my friend, are one long baby.
We hear you look just like your daddy a lot, which I completely agree with. We still get a few people tell us that you look like your mama. It's usually when you have that big bottom lip out, which you definitely got from your mama (Sorry Baby Bear!!)
Mama started back work part-time which meant Baby Bear also had to start daycare. Luckily, my bosses allowed you to spend the first week in the office with me which made this HUGE transition much easier.
You seem to enjoy daycare and the daycare is keeping you on the schedule that I worked so hard to get you use to. The transition has been a lot harder on me than you. I hate leaving you on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays but I know you will benefit from the interaction with other little babies and it is good for me to have a few "Mama only" moments.
Since starting back to work I have a better idea of how much you are eating since you are having to take a bottle at daycare. You are eating about 3.5 oz every 2.5-3hrs.
You are still talking up a storm. I just love to hear your sweet sweet voice and our convos always make my day.
For the most part you are a GREAT sleeper and this very tired Mama is incredibly thankful. Most nights you eat your big dinner around 8-8:30 pm and then we say our night-night prayers by 9 and you usually sleep until anywhere from 2-4 am I feed you for about 30 mins and then lay you right back down in your crib and you sleep until 6:30 am when you have to get up so I can feed you and get you ready for school. You usually wake up on your own but every once in a while you want to sleep in a little bit later.
You have found your hands and would much rather suck on them instead of your paci.
You are definitely a morning baby. Your daddy and I sing "Good Morning Good Morning" to you every morning and you just smile smile smile.
Your favorite activity is playing on your playmat and with the toys on the playmat.
And the photo dump from this past month:
You still have the best expressions.
We have all decided that you definitely get your facial expressions from your Mama!
Daddy had to travel to LA for work, so you and I took a long trip to Tennessee to visit Mimi, Poppi, and your adorable cousins who love you dearly. We then spent a few days in North Alabama hanging out with Grammy and PawPaw.
Talking with Mimi at Chick-fil-a (our favorite restaurant)
Morning snuggles with your cousin Keegan.
Spending some quality time with your Nana.
We ate at my favorite Lebanon restaurant (Los Compadres) a whopping 4 times in a week and a half while we were in town.
Selfie at the mexican restaurant :)
You helped your Mimi get her classroom all ready for her new students.
You met a bunch of Mama's friends while we were in Tennessee. I definitely loved showing you off to everyone.
One of Mama's former teachers, Mrs. Fryer.
Coffee with Mama's friend Chelsea from high school.
You loved to sit in my lap while I was working. You were my little helper :)
Watching Mama workout. I love when you and Aubie sit and watch me workout.
Love this view while working out!
Your first crush ;)
Kenley and Baby B
During your "witching hour" the only thing that stops your crying is going outside and sitting on the front porch. This has become a daily activity of ours.
